DEATHS
Gustavus Wm. Hawes died of consumption, at Upper Alton, Ill., Monday morning, January 6th, 1840, at 4 o'clock. Aged 52 years & 6 months. He died rejoicing in his Saviour. Buried in Upper Alton.
